Method notes

These are checks you can use while writing. They are not project reports and they are not dated news.

Describe a hearth opening in one paragraph

Write which wall the opening is on, then the name you use for the surround, then whether the corner is for sitting, storage, or only a path. If a size was not given, write “not provided” rather than estimating a round number.

Three lines a nook note should have

Line one is the use. Line two is where the light comes from. Line three is the object that should stay off the path. All three come from the sender’s description.

What we will not infer from a store listing

Download counts, ratings, partnerships, and countries that are not written in the listing stay unwritten. We do not add them to make a paragraph look finished.
